In general, however, PC users should right-click the link and choose “save file” to download it directly to your computer. Mac users should option-click and choose “save link.” In many cases, simply clicking on the link will open the PDF in your browser window without saving a copy to your computer (though you may then choose to save the file by selecting “save” under the file menu). You will need Adobe’s Acrobat Reader program to view and print PDF files. Though most computers have Reader installed, if you do not have the program, it is a simple installation process and a free download from Adobe’s web site.
